This is the 1st installment of many of the exposés of False Business Network talking heads, such as Charles Payne, Eric Bolling, Judge Napolitano, Stuart Varney, Gerri Willis, and so on. For this edition, the not-so-lucky victim is the dangerous propagandist Tracy Byrnes. She is one of the members of the Varney & Co. team, along with Charles Payne and Chris Cotter.
Byrnes is well-known for pushing blatant falsehoods, such as the often-repeated "Liberals/Democrats/Progressives/Unions/Obama will destroy America's economy" canard, on both Fox Business and Fixed News.
Next edition: Charles Payne.
Her ideas of cutting Security entirely will be hurtful.cutting Security entirely will be hurtful.
From the 02.14.2011 edition of Fox Business' Varney & Co.:
She previously advocated for the phasing out of Social Security, while panelist Jonathan Hoenig wanted it gone completely.
From the 11.13.2010 edition of Fox News' Cashin' In:
She wants it to be abolished. Seriously?
Regular panelist Tracy Byrnes supported Hoenig's proposition. "Anyone in our generation is not even planning on receiving a Social Security check. If I get it, it’s going to be my candy money when I'm 70 and I have no teeth… I'm on the same drug Jonathan's on, I guess, because I think the whole thing should go. Transition people out, cut off a date. Forty five and under, no Social Security checks, so start planning."
On the 03.05.2011 edition of Fixed Noise's Cashin' In, a part of the laughable farce of a "business" block known as "The Cost Of Freedom," Byrnes pulls off her "The [Republican] Rich are villainized by those Liberals" shtick.
Panelist Tracy Byrnes, ever resentful, griped, "People fled the state. You raise taxes, you don't nearly collect as much tax revenue as you think you do… But none of this fixes our deficit… No one is addressing spending."
She supports the regressive tax:
Casone asked another leading, anti-middle-class-tax-cut question. “What all of this data basically shows us is that we have an opportunity here as a country to change the tax code… and get this country out of debt. Why don’t we take it?”
Regulars Wayne Rogers and Tracy Byrnes called for getting rid of the income tax altogether and instituting a national sales tax – which Casone failed to note is a regressive tax that disproportionately affects the poor.
She don't want lunch programs in the schools. She may be one of the stupidest FBN/FNC "Business" show guests/hosts ever, right up there with Payne, Bolling, Varney, and Hoenig.
From the 12.04.2010 edition of Fox News' Cashin' In:
Byrnes said that government should "Stay out of my kids’ schools, stay out of the cafeteria. Look, Cheryl, 40 years ago, we had a child obesity rate of 5%. We have since doubled the spending, and the obesity rate is now 17%. It's not working… The parents are there to make the decisions in the school and at home, not the government. Stop it, and there's no need for taxpayers to be paying for this."
Byrnes shouted, “My children are not your responsibility. Nobody’s responsibility but my own.”
Undoubtedly, Byrnes’ and Gasparino’s kids are well fed. So why should they worry?
Byrnes whined, “The bigger issue here is to stop villainizing (sic) the wealthy.
Byrnes tries to
pass herself off as "middle class," when in fact she's not.
Tracy Byrnes said, "What bothers me the most about it… is that everyone is so glib about taxing the so-called wealthy. It’s not like they're multi-millionaires. The Obama administration is calling people who make not a lot of money, especially in areas like New York and California, those high expensive states, they’re calling us wealthy, and meanwhile, we’re living paycheck to paycheck. They’re wealthy – why? They work… You're saying it's my responsibility, it’s our responsibility to pick up the slack."
"Why is it my responsibility when I get up every day and come to work and I’m here and I miss dinner with my kids? Why?" Byrnes asked.
More anti-Pelosi/anti-Democratic women sexism:
From the 07.03.2010 edition of Fox News'
Cashin' In:
She whined about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as a "government takeover" that makes her "sick to my stomach" on her twitter feed.
She defended corporate jets on the 02.11.2009 edition of RNCTV's Fox Report. And so did Shepard Smith.
On the February 11th FOX Report, business reporter Tracy Byrnes and host Shepard Smith gave a shout out for corporate jets.
Byrnes: "These jets serve a purpose. And let's face it, $100,000 a jet is chump change compared to the bigger issues they have."
Byrnes also said "These eight gentlemen (Wall Street CEO's) were treated like children."
She hates the government, unless it favors the GOP.
Panelist Tracy Byrnes also fear mongered, this time that the initiative signaled some kind of government take over of private business practices. "The government doesn't have a good record when it comes to just about anything these days, Cheryl, and the last thing we need the government doing is telling us how to run our businesses."
Byrnes, who never seems to make it through a segment without whining, changed the subject in order to whine about the stimulus program. “You’ve got to see how this has failed miserably in the past… We spent all this stimulus money on these supposed shovel-ready projects. We get a whopping 17,000 construction jobs out of it… And you know what, it’s not working… The spending has got to stop.” As if that has anything to do with flexible work policies.
She hates American teachers and unions, typical of FBN hacks.
From the 02.16.2011 edition of Fox Business Network's Varney & Co.:
She wants all the schools to be privatized:
from the 02.19.2011 edition of Fox News' Cashin' In:
Tracy Byrnes wanted to privatize all schools. "Look at the way a company is run, look at the way the public sector is run these days. That's all you need to know. Privatize these things… People will take more ownership of the decisions they make. These kids will actually learn. Oh, I'm sorry, out in a protest? Teachers calling in sick? I’m not learning anything by doing that. All for some little increase in my health care."
John Layfield agreed “completely.” He added, “No private enterprise runs like this… We have the worst union in America in this teachers union."
Byrnes said, "My kids were in Catholic schools. Catholic schools test scores are actually higher than most public schools, and those teachers make pennies from heaven… They’re not there for the tenure. They’re there because they want to be.”
On the 03.03.2007 edition of Cavuto On Business, all but two panelists blamed the unions for GM's demise.
Of course we all know what the majority opinion on the panel of experts was before the first word was uttered. Cavuto, Battipaglia, Charles Payne (WStreet.com) and Tracy Byrnes (N. Y. Post) have often expressed their utter contempt for the idea of unions. Thus, it was left to token Democrat Greg Hymowitz (FOX News Business Contributor and founder of EnTrust Capital) and guest Chris Kofinis of Wake Up Wal-Mart to offer the rebuttal.
TRACY BYRNES: "But, then they shouldn't work there then!"
CHRIS KOFINIS: " ... who've had their hours cut ..."
CHARLES PAYNE: "I just want to say one thing ..."
CHRIS KOFINIS: "... who don't have affordable health care ..".
TRACY BYRNES: "They shouldn't work there."
CHARLES PAYNE: "Listen, listen. Here's the thing ..."
CHRIS KOFINIS: "And this argument that they should go find another job ..."
NEIL CAVUTO: "Alright! Charles."

It (high inflation) happened in the Weimar Republic after World War I in Germany, and people don't realize that. That led to the rise of Hitler. That could happen here." With video.
Tracy Byrnes, of Fox Business, nodded her head in agreement!
Jonathan Bradshaw Layfield said, "Wayne's exactly right. This is more akin to the Weimar Republic than it is to Japan."
Byrnes also covered for Bush The 2x Election Thief's activities.
Gregg Hymowitz called for Bush's impeachment on FNC.
Hymowitz's call for impeachment came after guest Tracy Byrnes claimed that Bush should keep up the warrantless wiretapping because it is good for stocks. "Wall Street should endorse it. We all know what happened after 9/11. The economy crumbled. ... Why not let the government do it's job?" said Byrnes, a business writer for the New York Post, a Rupert Murdoch property just like the Fox News Channel.
Hymowitz is not about to trade his basic American liberties for the right to be rich. Democrats who show up on Fox News shows would do well to imitate Hymowitz's performance.
Hymowitz was right that Fox may not like his call for Bush's impeachment. For his courage in saying what needs to be said, as well as his effective way of saying it, Hymowitz is a Top Dog.
Byrnes also dabbles in race-baiting:
