"The time has come!"
There's something Biblical in that statement. Is there not? The time has come to bring Fox non-News to its knees. Did I just hear Ed Schultz ["The Ed Show," MSNBC, 10 p.m., DST, Mon., July 11, 2011] say,
"The News Corp. phone hacking scandal gets worse. Rupert Murdoch's journalists allegedly tried to bribe New York's cops for access to phone records of 9/11 victims. The Murdoch Empire is in big trouble."
On the premise: "Where there's smoke, there's fire." Where's the g.d. fire? If
News of the World has bitten the dust, can Fox
non-News be far behind?
" . . . after being engulfed by allegations its journalists paid police for information and hacked into the phone messages of celebrities, young murder victims and even the grieving families of dead soldiers. Its last publication day is Sunday."

[Yeah, was Sunday.]
abbadabba at Huffington Post writes:
“Yeah, attempting to bribe a NY cop to break the hearts of 9/11 victim's families is a perfectly fair and balanaced [sic] thing to do? It's freaking espionage.”

Steamboater at Huffington Post writes:
“Bribing a NYC police officer or attempting to do so to get private records of families of victims of 9/11 is enough cause to start an investigation and an arrest warrant.”

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. THAT'S the shoe that will bring down The Fox non-News Republican Propaganda Network and Noise Machine.
[For alliterative purposes only, honest, I almost said, Nazi Noise Machine. Not so, Lord. The Republican Party and its Extremely Lovely and Naive Tea Party asses in Congress, and Murdoch and R. Ailes are RICH dumb bastards, but they're not smart enough to be called Nazis.]
Next: The damnable Koch Bros. Those two bastards gotta be criminal in some-fucking-thing that they do. Their heads gotta be put on the g.d. chopping block of Fate and History and the political equivalent of the City Dump.
Take Ranking Regal "Tea Party" Republican Extremist - and extremely dumb - "princess" Michele Bachmann's insane advice and investigate them, those Bastard Koch Bros., for un-American activities. I'd bring back the HUAC ["House Un-American Activities Committee,"] just for them.
For those of you who are blissfully too young to remember the HUAC, here's a Wikipedia link to it. Born in the same year that I was, the HUAC and I were both teenagers when I became aware it's miserable bullshit. Time to bring it back for Ms. Bachmann, though. Even Satan can be "employed" by the Deity. No? Really? That's what it says in the Good Book. Hey! If that's what it says, it's gotta be True. And Good! Like that old standby candy, Good and Plenty.
The House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA) or House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC)[1] (1938–1975) was an investigative committee of the United States House of Representatives. In 1969, the House changed the committee's name to "House Committee on Internal Security". When the House abolished the committee in 1975,[2] its functions were transferred to the House Judiciary Committee.
The committee's anti-communist investigations are often confused with those of Senator Joseph McCarthy.[3] McCarthy, as a U.S. Senator, had no direct involvement with this House committee.[4] McCarthy was the Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations of the Government Operations Committee of the U.S. Senate, not the House.

Fuck it! Start with her and her idiot husband. They gotta be criminal with all of those foster kids. There's Big Government Money to be made in stuffing your bedrooms and yards with foster kids. Do they feed them? Clothe them? School them? Do they love them? Or are those kids merely money in the bank?
Don't tell me that that White Republican Trash is doing whatever she's doing with those kids out of the goodness of her heart. Christ! That presupposes that she has a freaking heart to begin with. Her compassion for those that have less than her ends at the tip of her pretty little nose.
O.K. I got excited. It's just pretty.
Thu Jul 14, 2011 at 9:30 PM PT: Live and learn. I mentioned the HUAC in my diary, recalling my exposure to it as a teen in the 1950s, then I realized that zillions on DailyKos--though, frankly, I doubt that it is that large--may not be aware of its history. We're too smart and too cool not to have heard about the nastiness that the HUAC propagated on Congress. Yet, I'd bring it back for Bachmann and her biggoted, idiot, "gay-bashing," ignoramus, barbarian, Neanderthal--is that enough?--husband.
