I wrote a diary yesterday entitled, "What God Did". There were a lot of responses but many of them were from four individuals using my words as a forum to attack religion. My diary wasn't about religion. It was about my sons call to service. (more about that at the end)
Thank you for the responses that indicated that the writer had read my diary and where there were ideas expressed in some way connected to the context of my post. To those who used my words as an opportunity for hijack I'll say, think again. Those tactics are unwise. Here's why I think that: I actually read what you have written. Not only your responses to me but your previous diaries and your replies. Most of the time I am in complete agreement. Your tactic is unwise because this forum, or this type of forum is a new method of forming community. It seems that many of us share common ideals and given the direction our country has taken it is wise to stick together when we agree and to challenge each other in an intelligent manner when we don't. You all decided that pissing all over my diary was a good idea even though you seemed to completely miss the point. It was purely an opportunity to attack religion even though the post had nothing at all to do with religion, to challenge my concept of God even though you made that up because you have no idea what my concept of God is and to verbally spar with one another. Excuse me for being offended.
This is where you attack me because I missed the joke or because if I say the word God I should expect an attack or because since I shared something personal you smelled blood and an opportunity to score. Remember I told you I'm a social worker. I've heard your arguments before. She misinterpreted. He was in the wrong place. No, take responsibility for your part and I will do likewise. So just knock off the attacks unless warranted. I respect your right to intelligently challenge me and to at least find out what was meant before you hijack the whole discussion. I don't respect your desire to vandalize the community.
Enough said. As for my son. He's on the Los Alamos fire. The Los Alamos Labs are no longer at risk but the fire itself is only 3% under control. Thanks for your kind thoughts. Happy July 4.
