is that chess is played in only two dimensions. Perhaps those focusing on 11 dimensions can brag about the skill of their designated champion, but in the meantime s/he will lose pieces. If s/he is lucky in that the opponents are not all that skillful, at best s/he can perhaps obtain a stalemate.
It is far more likely that s/he will find the position s/he takes leads to checkmate - and not of the opponent.
Perhaps this is not a diary.
Perhaps this is a parable.
Or perhaps this is just the observation of a middle-aged man who has seen a lot of politics and a lot of politicians, and never believes the solution is entirely in the person.
After all, our Founders intended a government of laws and not of men. We should remember that about our politics as well.
