I came to the prayer cabinet when it was a weekly feature at Street Prophets and made simple requests for family members struggling with school and life. Sometimes, friends and family are reluctant to ask for help and prayer requests offer both the requester and receiver of the prayers support.
It's a simple way to act on your cares and concerns. My main concern, so long ago, were for my son and his cousin, who were struggling at university. The support and feedback helped reduce those worries for me.
For an update, my son has graduated and had two job offers after five months of job search. He's accepted his "dream" job and starts the paperwork this week. Thank you for your prayers. His cousin starts a course of study at another school and is still finding his way. Thank you for your prayers for him.
This is the prayer cabinet, a respectful and quiet place for people to come and leave requests for prayer and kind thoughts. If a request for prayer makes you uncomfortable, let us offer support with our words of comfort and support. Give us the level of information you are comfortable with and know, that here, you will be heard.
