I support Anonymous. I had to get that out of the way before I went on my rant. I canât participate for a number of reasons. The number one reason is because Iâm too well known on the net and in my community, as well as politically. I have more friends than enemies however, Iâm anything but Anonymous myself.
I support WikiLeaks and Bradley Manning is one of my many heroes. Manning falls into the same category as Daniel Ellsberg as far as Iâm concerned. They both did a service to America. Supporting âTruth, Justice and the American Wayâ, to coin a phrase. Similar in my opinion to the person who discovered the A.L.E.C. group, the Koch brothers and what they were doing to Wisconsin and are intent upon committing to some 40 or so, other states. Some of which is ongoing even now.
Case in point, Benton Harbor, Michigan. The Governor there, appointed a state manager who then proceeded to fire all elected officials in Benton Harbor and then through imminent domain procedures, relieved all of Benton Harbor of their residents, in favor of some Corporation, who wants a golf course on the harbor.
Back to my rant though â¦
I support Anonymous because they support Civil Rights. All Civil Rights, but especially the right to Free Flowing Information and Iâm a staunch supporter of Free Flowing Information. My complete opinion on this subject is this; Do not attempt to censor me, Iâm an adult and I can very well censor myself. If I donât want to see something, I wonât look. If I donât want to know something, I wonât learn about it. If I donât like something, I wonât participate. By the same token, if thereâs something out there that I want to know about, I will go to the ends of the Earth, to find as much information on it, as I possibly can. Keeping in mind that my Rights end at the tip of your nose and your Rights end at the tip of mine.
I also hold this personal truth to be self evident, youâre only as sick as your secrets. That being said, I want to make perfectly clear that I do not direct anything, anywhere. I make suggestions to people. Should I run across something I think needs to be made known, Iâll share it. Supporting my Civil Right to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression. I even consulted 3 different attorneys I know, to make sure I wasnât breaking any laws. They all said pretty much the same thing. I am guaranteed these rights by the United States Constitution. One of them even offered to bail me out of jail and represent me, should I ever be incarcerated for speaking my mind.
On that note, I want to thank Daniel Ellsberg, John Kerry, Bradley Manning and especially Anonymous, for standing up for my right to be free and allowing me to be a supporter of all the things they represent to me. Most of all, Freedom.
