So my freshman teabagger, talking-points-spewing, Congress creature will almost assuredly be voting FOR the debt-ceiling deal today. She's been all over Fox and CNBC touting the tea party line, but she's not PURE tea party like Michele Bachmann. She'll do it.
I decided to send her a thank-you letter this morning in advance of her vote.
Dear Congresswoman Hayworth,
Even though you've waffled a little over the last few days, I am sure you are going to vote for the Debt Ceiling increase deal that does not contain any tax increases. I give you kudos for sticking to the Tea Party line and would like to thank you personally for how this will benefit my particular family.
My husband is a Vice President for a company in a neighboring congressional district and is in the top 1% of wage earners in this country. He may not be a job creator, and he works with many people who are in the top 1% and are not job creators. The continuation of the low tax rates on our sector will provide me with a TON of really nice diamond jewelry, lots of spa days and massages, and lots of electronic doodads and name-brand clothing for my children. I do believe most of the consumer goods that we will acquire will be made in foreign countries.
So, once again, thank you for the positions you've taken on this issue, I'm sure your own family will benefit in similar ways to mine.
From a grateful constituent,
