There's was too much sterm and drang here over the election results. The reality is:
We Won
We forced recalls on 6 of 8 Republicans in consistently red districts.
We won two of the recall elections.
Monied interests and the GOP were forced to spend FIFTY MILLION BUCKS defending 6 Republican State Senators in consistently strong Republican districts.
They threw everything, including the kitchen sink at us: delaying tactics, voter suppression laws, dirty tricks, fake primaries, mega millions.
They lost. We won.

I would have preferred to win 3 and would have loved to win all 6, but look at the cost to the GOP on their own turf.
Imagine what they will have to spend in moderate (or even Democratic) districts? Can they do it election after election on state and local races? Can they keep throwing mega millions around in every state in every election?
This was a battle between money power and people power. RW forces spent $115 for every vote they got. They can't keep that up year after year.
Recalling Scott Walker is next. It will be a statewide recall with the major Democratic areas in play so it will be easier than these recalls. I expect the same dirty tricks, delaying tactics, liar attack ads, and mega millions in spending. We'll use our people power.
Don't be depressed or sad. Don't view this as a loss when it wasn't. We didn't get what we wanted, but we cost the GOP plenty to defend their own. And don't think that the Republicans don't know that.
