8:06 PM PT: Well, it's over. So what do you think? The big question I have is whether anyone inside that room truly won the debate. Romney has to be happy that he kept his trap shut most of the night, but by being so cautious he played into what everybody sees as his weakness: that he doesn't stand for anything.
8:09 PM PT: One person who definitely has to be happy with tonight's debate: David Axelrod, because if this is the best the GOP can do, President Obama is definitely going to get four more years.
8:12 PM PT: Haha, I just checked my email and saw the Obama campaign email urging people to tune into Fox tonight and watch the debate. They didn't phrase it this way, but basically the message was: "Watch these crazy fucking nitwits." And the image that keeps on popping into my mind is the sight of all eight candidates raising their hands saying they would reject a deficit reduction plan that had $1 in tax hikes for every $10 in spending cuts.
8:13 PM PT: I don't think Fox is having Frank Luntz do a post-debate focus group. Are they afraid of what they might find out?
