We're liveblogging the results of the final two Wisconsin recalls. The candidates are below:
• SD-12: Jim Holperin (D-inc) vs. Kim Simac (R)
• SD-22: Bob Wirch (D-inc) vs. Jonathan Steitz (R)
Results: AP | Journal Sentinel
7:57 PM PT: In case your just joining us, the AP called SD-22 for Dem Bob Wirch earlier this evening. SD-12 remains uncalled, but Dem Jim Holperin has a 53-47 lead with 71% of the vote counting. Our model suggests that lead is likely to widen by the end of the night.
7:58 PM PT: And... the AP calls it for Holperin! Two terrific Dem holds!
8:00 PM PT: And for those of you following this until the bitter end, it looks like two counties in SD-12 have been on a serious ganja break all night long: Absolutely zero votes have been reported in Florence and Lincoln.
9:05 PM PT (jeffmd): ...and a few hours later, Lincoln County reports, turning out 60% for Holperin. This brings us to 55.3% Holperin, or Holperin by 10.6%. Just Florence County left, which is the most Republican jurisdiction in the district.
