Among the suspects is Mustafa Badreddine, a Hezbollah commander who was imprisoned for his role in bombing attacks against the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait in the 1980s, and who is a brother-in-law of the late Imad Mugniyah, the Hezbollah figure behind numerous attacks against U.S. interests before his assassination in 2008.
The others named in the indictment are Salim Jamil Ayyash, who was also related to Mugniyah by marriage, Hussein Hassan Oneissi and Assad Hassan Sabra, all of whom were Hezbollah supporters, the indictment says.
Justice is moving very slowly for this crime. Let us hope the persons responsible are held to account and political considerations are kept at a minimum.
