Or at least his local office. After some gentle prodding from angelajean, and some encouragement from DaNang65-Here is my first diary
I had an appt this afternoon at Congressman's office, so this morning I printed out the charts and other things that I wanted to take with me.
I debated what to wear- just to help with the impression and went with casual.( This is a very small Town) and off I went.
I got there early and knew that I was going to speak to his local rep. Small town, very large district. I waited about 15 mins and then met a really big man who introduced himself. I told him who I was and that I was concerned about the Congressman's position on Military Retirement as he is known as a fiscal conservative. I explained about the Defense Business Board ( I could see from his face- that he didn't have any idea what I was talking about) and gave him the charts etc. and asked him to pass them on to the Congressman. Pretty much it.Then I got all the standard platitudes about how concerned the Congressman is about funding the military, etc. And then this guy says to me "Thank your husband for his service!" Luckily- I didn't choke him (hubby is retired, also)but I don't think he was thrilled with the look I gave him as I said I would. JERK
I have a feeling that If I am going to get any follow-up, I better back this up with an e-mail.
