When I first joined Daily Kos I was, as much as anything else looking for a sense of community.
At times it has seemed promising.
By know most have read a "boycott diary" or two. The reasons for this action are clear.
I really didn't understand the extent and ramifications of the Daily Kos Purge of 2011 until just a bit ago.
It seems the first true unity I've felt on this site comes at the price of staying away from it.
I've tried three times to write this diary, and at least this version doesn't sound as angry as I feel. A fair share of my anger is directed at myself: Truth is I haven't been much of an ally.
Time "away" will be good, probably in more ways than we now know.
