Last night’s presidential debate brought plenty of incendiary language aimed at stirring up a room full of opinionated tea party activists while millions of Americans watched from home. Yet Rick Perry really sought to bring down the house following the debate. Maybe he learned a thing or two about being caught making false statements in front of debate moderators after his first appearance and this time decided to take it off stage.
Check it out here:
Rick Perry proves once again that he just doesn’t know what he’s talking about when it comes to vital public health protections in the U.S., nor does he care to do his homework on science-based policies. Calling the EPA a cemetery for jobs is not only insulting to the people dedicated to protecting the air we breathe and water we drink, it’s just plain wrong. EPA protections actually create jobs while saving lives, improving public health and boosting economic productivity. Analysis shows that the most recently proposed upgrades to the Clean Air Act would create nearly 1.5 million jobs, and the protections afforded by these clean air safeguards are estimated to save 4.2 million lives while providing $2 trillion in economic benefits by 2020.
Wrong again Perry.
