During “24 Hours of Reality," people all around the globe living with the impacts of climate change will connect the dots between recent extreme weather events — including floods, droughts and storms — and the man-made pollution that is changing our climate. From Pakistan to Cape Verde and Mexico City to Alaska, the event will feature scientists, celebrities, business leaders and concerned citizens.
Current TV will broadcast the last hour of “24 Hours of Reality,” a multi-media presentation given by Nobel Laureate, former US Vice President and Current Chairman Al Gore, to US viewers on September 15th at 7 p.m. ET from New York City. Current TV in the UK will also air live coverage of Gore’s presentation at midnight GMT.
In addition to its TV broadcast, Current.com will also present Ustream’s live Internet feed from the start of “24 Hours of Reality".
I like the alternating Panel Interviews, the most.
But the Power-point Video presentation is pretty good too. Each presenter gets to customize it for their own locale. Currently that presenter is from Istanbul, Turkey; Durban, South Africa; London, England; Husavik Iceland; Praia, Cape Verdes; Ilulissat, Greenland; Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. New York, NY -- with Al Gore Presenting. (This final hour is also being broadcast on CurrentTV -- 7 pm ET).
The Climate Reality Project
The Panels discussions begin around the bottom of the hour, at the half hour.
