I have an HP computer and all the disks to this computer are lost. And then the computer crashed and now it won't boot up. So I called up HP and asked for the recovery disks but they tell me that the computer is out of warranty and I am out of luck.
So like what does Microsoft expect me to do with this computer? Throw it away and buy a new one because the disk is lost? Sounds great for the environment to throw away perfectly good computers for lack of a disk.
And what about all the rest of the software that Microsoft has sold? We have another computer that has lost the disks for Office and now Microsoft refuses to replace the disks because they are now on a new iteraration of Office and besides it is the OEMs responsibility. And of course the newer stuff doesn't work too well on the older stuff so it is a bit stressful working on any version of Office unless you are prepared to keep forking more money over to Microsoft.
Well Linux is going into the old HP and why do people use Microsoft anyway when there is great open source software out there that only needs a larger user base?
