I found out on Facebook yesterday that there is going to be a demonstration here in St Louis on Saturday, continuing for some time, to show solidarity with the Wall Street occupation.

I'll be going down for at least a few hours on Saturday. Since I feel that the upper crusts at Goldman Sachs and AIG should have seen the inside of a federal pen, I can really get behind the message these folks are getting out there. I plan on volunteering as a medical aide, I am certified in CPR and have had First Aid training in the past so I should be able to help that way. I plan on bringing nothing that could be construed as a weapon beyond my cell phone, digital camera and myself. My wife talked me out of bringing my Sabre Defense Spray, since if I were to use it in response to either getting sprayed myself or gassed it would be considered Assault. I will be armed with several pro-Unionist songs, as all cops here are members of the Fraternal Order. ;)
I'll try and get as many pictures as I can, the camera I am bringing is not new and will be forfitted if need be to be sure to get the story done.
No, I won't have a gun on me. Since I do not ahve my CCW yet, that would be illegal and would potentially interrupt my 1st Amendment right to freely congregate if any challenge would be put to that. I am going with the thought that there will be nothing to fear from the local Police. That being said, I will be prepared for most anti-crowd actions such as O.C. or gas attack.
Here's hoping that the occupation of the Federal Reserve here will be a time of decent media coverage of a peaceful rally.
