I should have guessed this piece of work exaggerated his ties to Romney.
Peterson has billed himself online as a "close personal friend of the Romney family," and posted video on Youtube of Romney speaking at a 2007 fundraiser at Romney’s home in Deer Valley. He contributed $2,300 to the Romney campaign that year. In addition, he posted several photos of himself and Romney on his Facebook page.
But Chaffetz, who said he has been at most of the Romney events in Utah over the last few years, said he never saw Peterson at any of them. "I seriously doubt" he is close with the Romneys, Chaffetz said. Peterson did attend a national call day in Las Vegas, where supporters were invited to come and make phone calls for the Romney campaign, Chaffetz said.
Salt Lake Tribune
Utah authorities on Wednesday accused a high-profile Republican fundraiser of raping women at a cabin where he hosted events for some of the biggest names in politics in the state.
The Salt Lake Tribune reported on Thursday that prosecutors charged GOP fundraiser Greg Peterson with 23 felony counts, including the rapes of four women. Jail records online showed that he was still being held on $750,000 bond.

And here is a picture of this alleged rapist shaking hands with Mitt Romney.
Petersen shaking hands with Romney
Here is a link to Petersen's
Facebook page, which prominently features the Romney photo. He's a financial planner who studied at BYU and claims to speak Spanish and Russian.
And this must be kept in mind.
None of the alleged crimes appear to be directly connected to Peterson’s political activities or the candidates he hosted fundraisers for.
And let us not forget the victims of these crimes, who have had something terrible done to them, and are likely to experience more horrors at the hands of the defense team for Petersen. God grant them strength.
The exaggerated claim, made on a Tea Party oriented web site.
Greg Peterson, a close personal friend of the Romney family, discusses why liberty loving Latter-day Saints should support Mitt Romney for president. Greg expounds upon the fundamental principles Mitt will adhere to when making presidential decisions. Jeremy and JC question Greg on Mitt’s stance on key issues including government health care, income taxes, abortion, immigration, undeclared wars, the American empire, social security and the Federal Reserve.
