Fresh off the news that Massachusetts senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren is
crushing Wall Street's best efforts to stop her, now the Chamber of Commerce is
vowing to enter the campaign:
The chamber is careful not to give too many details of its plans for the Senate seat once held by the late Ted Kennedy, and now occupied by Republican Scott Brown. But two chamber leaders suggested to reporters this morning that their influence in the Bay State will be quite noticeable.
“We’ll be significantly involved,” said Tom Donohue, the president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce.
While it is not surprising that the Chamber of Commerce is getting involved in MA-Sen, it is noteworthy that the forces of greed have been so quickly forced to start calling in reinforcements. Both Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS and Wall Street lobbyists have already invested heavily to try and stop Warren. Fat lot of good it's done them so far.
Please, contribute $6 to Elizabeth Warren on Orange to Blue. Time to kick the Chamber of Commerce's butt, too.
