Following in the grand tradition of the first Tea Party State of the Union response given by the oh so not crazy Michele Bachmann, The Tea Party Express has issued this very seriously important earth shattering announcement:
Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest tea party political action committee, is announcing that Herman Cain will be delivering the Tea Party State of the Union response at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on the evening of January 24th, 2012.

CNN, the only cable news network to carry last year's response, has not yet released a statement as to whether they would air the response live on TV again this year.
CNN last year aired the response explaining:
"The Tea Party has become a major force in American politics and within the Republican Party," he said. "Hearing the Tea Party's perspective on the State of the Union is something we believe CNN's viewers will be interested in hearing and we are happy to include this perspective as one of many in tonight's coverage."
Please make sure to look at the right camera Herman.
Cain, who is never prone to hyperbolic statements had this to say:
"My unconventional endorsement is 'The People!" Cain said. "We the people are still in charge. That's who I'm endorsing. We're going to have to lead this revolution. We have to take our power back. I'm endorsing the people. The people who started this country."

The Republican Party will trot out an interchangeable cookie-cutter, talking point spewing clone republican for their traditional response.
