I'm an admittedly name-challenged person. Besides the obvious, the current crop of GOP leaders challenges me with the confusing similarities in their names. For instance, there's the Four Ricks of the Apocalypse: Rick Snyder, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, and Rick Scott. There could be more, but four is my current limit of Rick around the clock bad news. And then there's the bevy of Pauls: Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Paul Ryan, whose last name is just a little too close for me to keep straight from Rand. Throw in a few Scotts, Scott Walker and the already- mentioned Rick Scott ( a double-whammy thorn), and the confusion is complete. If I want to be fair and balanced, I should add the two Democrats that do, in fact, confuse me when it comes to names: the Clintons, both Hillary and Bill. Neither are thorns, but when I see a headline that mentions "Clinton". I automatically prepare myself for reading something wonderful about Bill. Instead, it's something wonderful about Hillary. I'll get over it. Any Clinton is still better than any of the Ricks, Pauls, or Scotts.
