Though I'm aware that, as a member of the US Military, I should be very conscientious with regards to how I would pursue any manner of political involvement - especially in the touchy climate of the times - I consider that as likewise a voting citizen of the nation, I would like to become more involved, to some simple extent, in supporting the Democratic interests of the Democratic party. I've resolved myself to change my registration from Nonpartisan to Democrat, back in California. I would now like to see if anyone would have any advice about grassroots participation in the Democrat party. This is not any manner of a clever ploy, this an expression of my genuine personal interest. I've even subscribed to DKOS, now - in budgeting wisely, I think.
If anyone who may happen to catch this diary, in the flow, would be able to offer any advice, to that end - openly or in private message - about simple, local involvement, namely - I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations. Frankly, I'm firstly interested in getting to know the local Democrat community, as it being a community towards which - as I begin to realize - towards which, I feel a sense of natural, political affinity. Thank you.
