After the typical diatribe of Republican positions.......
Roz Peterson, of Lakeville, Minnesota and Republican candidate for state legislature, said the following during an endorsement campaign speech.
"We also need to ensure balance in power because we all know that Dayton is mentally unstable. "
Widespread laughter and applause.....

She was referring to Democratic Governor Mark Dayton of Minnesota.
The background of this speech is this: This was the endorsement convention in the local house district. The makeup of this convention is so uncompromising is that after 12 hours, no endorsement could be made between her and a local Tea Party guy. It took another convention three weeks later to break the deadlock.
Mark Dayton admitted in 2009 that he battled depression. Also, he admitted to a relapse in his alcholism while serving his single term as US Senator.
A GOP State Senator and failed congressional candidate Mike Parry earlier this year accused Dayton of being a "Pill popping drug addict".

On what planet does depression qualify as a punchline for your political ambitions?
Get a f**king clue Roz Peterson.
Sometimes in your political lives you see a Michelle Bachmann clone running at a lower level. Roz Peterson was serving as school board member and as chair of the county chamber of commerce. She has unlimited ambition, telegenic looks, and the money from corporations helping her. She will be a best friend to ALEC. As a Chamber of Commerce leader, she was advocating taking money from schools with one hand and laying off of teachers and closing schools as a school board member with the other hand.
This is Roz Peterson's first time running for legislature. She is running against Will Morgan- the Democratic challenger.

Please contribute 5$ to Will's Campaign. Will is a science teacher at Burnsville High School. Will was the State Rep for the area for two terms when he defeated a long serving Republican in 2006. He lost to an ALEC member by a couple hundred votes in 2010. Due to redistricting, this is an open seat.
Lets take back the Minnesota Legislature.........
More background on the Republican Minnesota Legislature:
In 2010, Minnesota Republicans took over both chambers of the legislature while running on a "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs" platform.
twoputttommy has chronicled the massive failure that ensued.
http://www.dailykos.com/...
Instead of coming together to solve the 6 billion dollar budget deficit left by the Tim Pawlenty Administration, instead of focusing on jobs, the MNGOP put up accounting gimmicks to shift payments to the backs of our schoolkids. The Republicans refused to budge to demand not even one more dollar in revenue. This resulted in the longest Minnesota government shutdown in history.
The two crowning acheivements for the Republican Legislature for the last two years are these:
1. Protecting marraige from those pesky gays in the form of a constitutional amendment.
Special Note: I do have bring up the fact that while they were voting on this, Republican Senate Leader Amy Koch was forging a extra maritial affair with a senate staffer. The male staffer sued the state for wrongful termination. This has cost Minnesota Taxpayers at least a hundred thousand dollars.
2. Another constitutional amendment, this time designed to deprive the elderly, homeless, students, poor, and people who move in September/ November voting privileges. This amendment requires voters to show Goverment Issued ID when voting.
This was to prevent non existent "voter fraud".
Meanwhile, as twoputttommy has written about, the Minnesota GOP was incurring thousands of dollars in fines for fraudulent election behaviour. While funding recounts, the Minnesota GOP set up illegal shell companies to hide debts. The Minnesota GOP was even sent eviction notices in 2012 for failure to pay rent. To clean up the party, they elected a former Enron Lobbyist as head of the party.
With this record of failure, the Republicans want to install another Michelle Bachmann clone into the Minnesota State Legislature. The clone's name is Roz Peterson. Please consider contributing to her Democratic opponent, Will Morgan.
