Ok, I don't want to get ahead of myself because too many times in the past, I have seen our party snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...but things are looking pretty sweet right now!
IF the debates are evenly matched, and if there is no 'event' that changes things, it seems like we will will the Presidency.
Here is why I'm writing this though...(follow below the squiggle)
My question is, if things are going to go our way with the top dog, when do we begin focusing on the down ticket?
I've read that Romney's big investors already see the writing on the wall, and they are beginning to defect...and focusing their money on trying desparately to save the R's positions in the Senate and the House.
If this ends up being a landslide election (fingers crossed), then will our down ticket automatically benefit, or do we have to work on that now.
Are people waiting till after the debates?
If the country begins to see Mitt as virtually assured to lose, will the R's just sit home because 'why bother'?
Will that do enough for our down ticket in and of itself?
Just curious what other people think about this aspect of what is unfolding, as the polls continue to show Mitt losing ground (with Conservatives leaving him right and left).
