I watched Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe this morning vicerally, angered in red face fatigue deriding the New Yorker Magazine Editor, David Remnick. A guest, mind you, that the show booked. A guest, countless times previously. The actions by Scarborough was of desperation, at its best, all because of the endorsement of Obama by the New Yorker.
When Scarborough asks him the intial question, before Remnick could answer Scarborough attacked him. And through this exchange Remnick was kind of surprised at the attack and even told Scarborough to allow him to answer the question.
What got into Scarborough's crawl? The mentioning of "the shame of the BUSH YEARS"...attached to the Obama endorsement by the magazine.
The thing is that Scarborough invited a guest to his show and tried to badger and bully him. He really lost his mind over this endorsement. And Joe Scarborough is a classic example of why congress is how it is, he helped it become the way it is. Listen to his constant right vs left; us vs them meme. The nastiness of how he came across is truly how he is and something talk shows don't need.
Bottom line, Joe Scarborough as hard as he attempts to push a narrative that Romney is close or will win, in reality he knows that he will not. And how far is he really stretching this meme of the race is razor tight?
But I do know this: Mitt Romney will win the presidency if he wins Ohio. That's because the Republican candidate is nailing down the Southern swing states that he has to win. With Florida, North Carolina and Virginia moving his way, the battle now moves to the Midwest.
If Romney's momentum is strong enough to erase the 10 point deficit he once faced in Ohio, expect him to carry other swing states like Nevada and Colorado.
The cable news desks clerks who are not ON THE GROUND, fail to realize that in the end this is about GOTV. And Obama forces are getting it out in very high numbers.
If Scarborough is getting rattled over a damn endorsement, I guess he will have a pure melt down on November 6th.
10:03 AM PT: In my opinion, the ONLY way Romney wins OHIO is if it is stolen. Remember, his son is attached to a company that is supplying some of the voting machines in OHIO. This we must keep a sharp eye on.
