Mourdock's comments are major international news.
He's currently the most read and most shared article on the BBC. The article describes
Fury at US candidate rape comment. It's the second article on the Guardian's front page. Romney Called to act on Rape Comments. Der Spiegel: US-Republikaner: "Schwangerschaft nach Vergewaltigung ist ein Geschenk Gottes." The Germans include video of Mitt Romney saying "I support Mourdock for Senate." It's the number one International story in Yomiuri Online, Japan's largest newspaper. It is the number one international story in the largest Indian newspaper, the India Times, which gave the story it's own special box in their world section.
The list goes on. The entire world is horrified by what Mourdock said, because that's not something that candidates fro elected office in the United States say.
Candidates for elected office in the United States should not sound like they're running for office in Iran. We're supposed to be the leaders of the free world, not advocates for an Iranian-Style Theocracy! How the hell can we rally international support for sanctions on Iran if we start looking just like the Iranians themselves?
Mourdock is an Iranian style theocrat whose comments show that he shouldn't be in charge of a church barbecue much less have a seat in congress. He has embarrassed our nation with his comments, and hurt our standing in the world. Because of the harm he has caused to this nation, he needs pull out of this race immediately.
Republicans can't go two weeks without saying how they're pretty much okay with Rape, and yet the right wing talking heads still deny that there's a war on women.
Oh, and as for this Romney ad:
Youtube has recently made it more difficult to download videos like this one from youtube. They've blocked a few extensions. I have an MP4 of that clip, and I'll e-mail it to anyone who wants to use it. Just pop me a Kosmail.
