Local Democrats have long known what The Desert Sun discovered today: Rep May Bono Mack (R-CA) had outstayed her welcome at the House Representative.

This post may be technology-impaired as I have not written in years, so please bear with me.
The Desert Sun begins its endorsement by praising Caesar, then burying her with her connection to Grover Norquist and Karl Rove. It is now about jobs, healthcare, and the safety net for retirees. You see, the Coachella Valley is all about issue affecting gays and lesbians, seniors, and Latinos, or, as some here say, 'the gays, grays, and Joses.' Basically, the readership of the Desert Sun.
The editorial castigates Bono Mack on several fronts. She alienated Republican-leaning Agua Caliente Band of Mission Indians when she attacked Ruiz' involvement in the Native American nationalist movement. The Agua Caliente released a statement that they were seriously 'offended and insulted.' Oops.
Recently, Bono Mack alienated local Latinos and Latinas when good oppo released an email where she laughingly told a radio host that she enjoyed his comments that the down valley was 'a Third World Toilet.' Coachella Valley gays and lesbians and friendlies continue to be appalled that Bono Mack refuses still to take a stand on marriage equality. Bono Mack says it is a local issue, not a Federal one. Guessing the Florida newspapers where she spends most of her time do not discuss DADT and DOMA as Federal issues.
Seems that we could knock off two Macks this election cycle as polling shows a close race here.
The Desert Sun says it is time for a moderate voice who will work with other voices.
