Today Romney showed how he has lived his entire life. It has gotten him where he is in life and it enabled him to get a perceived advantage in this debate.
He ignored the debate rules set out by the 'moderator', Jim Lehrer, bullied his way over him, interrupted, went over the time allowed, and insisted on getting the last word, each time.
There was absolutely no respect shown to the President of the United States. Why should he have? He considers himself far superior, while betraying envy of the accoutrements of the office - the 'plane' and 'the house'.
Rules have never been for Romney. He is too good for them, above them. Need to shelter some income? There's high priced accountants to help figure out how to game the system. Need to declare residency in one state, then change it for tax purposes? No problem. Need to change your residency back to another state so you can run for governor? No problem. Need to change your retirement date depending on the circumstances? No problem.
This is how Romney is in a debate (and everything else) cheat, lie do what it takes to 'win'. But, this is not the path to being a successful President. Does he plan to ride roughshod over half the government that doesn't agree with him? I'm glad President Obama pointed that out about how difficult repealing 'Obamacare' might be if he had to deal with Democrats.
I believe Americans will see through this and realize this is not someone who would effectively occupy the office of President and successfully govern.
