Good grief. Some are starting to voice Charlie Brown complaining that the evil Mitt Romney stole your football!
For all our sakes, get a grip!
Here's what the debate did in reality:
1. It moved nothing almost anywhere, and most certainly didn't move anything significantly anywhere. Ya get that? ALMOST NOTHING CHANGED.
2. It forced lies (again and again) on Mitt. And Big Bird is eating him up. THAT's what the press is talking about. Geez. The presidency doesn't revolve around wins/losses at debates particularly one debate. So Stop it!
3. For those of you that are giving me and others a headache as we search for the pearls you ripped off in your quest for perfection, let's see what Nate Silver says today about the election:
O: 80.2/R:19.8
YES. Those are the CHANCES of WINNING.
Do you understand that at this point in time that Romney is at 19.8 percent. READ THAT AGAIN. 19.8 percent. Uphill, baby. Uphill.
Numbers move and will move before the election. Please remember that. And remember that things don't always go UP. They come down, stay the same, move up again and yes, again, move down. Surely you weren't sleeping through 2008.
The frigging point is we are winning... so act like it.
Please, please, please stop the whining.
I can tell you from experience that if you actually GOTV versus hand wringing and pearl ripping, you will find your perspective will change in the positive and in the interim you will feel much better. And believe me, those of us that just can't take the unnecessary angst will too.

And just because...
Markos may say leave it all on the road, but if taken from West Wing, it was Leo that said in season six, "Leave everything on the field."
I like them both, but I like Leo's take more.
Now, let's all get frigging busy and win this thing.
As Leo said, "I already found my guy."
Go O.
