I know some of you would like to help on election day but simply can't due to jobs, kids
etc . . . So here are four easy things you can do from home.
1) Make a list of everyone you know who lives in a swing state who is likely to vote for Obama. Then call them before election day. Ask them who they intend to vote for. If they say Obama, tell them how important it is that they vote. Then get them to commit to vote for the President on election day and ask them when they intend to vote.
Then call them again on election day and ask them whether they voted yet. (You can do this during your lunch break or while your kids are doing their homework) if they didn't, again stress the importance of voting and get them to agree to go to the polls at a specific time that day.
2) If you have college age children who are Obama supporters get them to commit to vote. And then ask them to talk to their friends who are Obama supporters to stress the importance of voting and to get their friends' commitment to vote as well. Also suggest to your children that they may want to drive their friends to the polls if their friends are having difficulty getting there
3) If you have elderly neighbors (or others who have limited mobility or transportation issues) who are Obama supporters ask them if they would like to you to pick them up when you vote so that they can come with you to the polls to vote.
4) Make GOTV calls from home through the Obama campaign website.
