You know, I usually hate Thanksgiving. It's not the holiday itself, but Black Friday that causes me to dread this particular week, especially because my black cat broke his leg off the hip on Black Friday 4 years ago. In any case, I do have much to be thankful for this year, so I'll start below the orange squiggly.
I'm thankful for my wife and her family, without whom I'd have fallen further through the cracks. My coworkers and supervisors, who not only respect my work, but are willing to help me advance my career in any way that I can. I suppose in my own way, I wish everyone had that same environment.
I'm thankful to be able to pursue my own path as I see fit. I'm thankful for my education, because without that I probably wouldn't get far in my life.
And last, but certainly not least, my pooties. Sure, they're older now and they don't like to play as much, but petting them does help with stress.
Oh, and of course I'm thankful for the community here. You know who you are, and your help since my diagnosis has been most appreciated.
Thanks everyone,
Homer
