State Senate Candidates Debate Tuesday Nov. 27
With Ben McAdams resigned from the state senate to take over as Salt Lake County Mayor, a vacancy has opened up and at least eight contenders will debate Tuesday on why Democratic county delegates should pick them to fill the seat.
Only 5* Democrats will be represented in the state senate this year, against 24 Republicans, so county delegates ought to choose wisely among contenders for McAdams’ seat, which includes former Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon, Democratic Party Chair Jim Dabakis and former Salt Lake County Councilwoman Jenny Wilson. The debate is hosted by Alliance for a Better Utah and is free and open to the public.
Check it out, at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 410 Campus Center Drive, Tuesday, Nov. 27, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
* We have to improve this ratio. Can we GOTV now? Do registration drives now?
