I think we can all agree that Nathan Lane is one of Broadway's current great talents. He can sing, he can act, he can dance, and he's gay: He's exactly what Middle America (those GOP voters) are afraid of, and yet...he's fabulous.
A reporter once asked Lane if he was gay; he replied, "I'm 40, single and work a lot in the musical theater. You do the math." When he told his mother he was gay, she replied, "I'd rather you were dead,"[2] to which he replied, "I knew you'd understand."
