Hi...just a brief diary to help me better follow the still emerging election results. Thanks to Kos I have been able to link to Dave Wasserman's Twitter page and also to his great popular vote constantly updated vote spreadsheet.
But I noticed in one of his tweets and also in a few of Kos's diaries the fact that as of about a week ago Obama's edge in the House had risen to over 500,000. I wanted to know if anyone has a source...a link...to constantly follow what the totals are with House national voting...as the President's own popular vote margin keeps rising and Romney's percentages keep falling. Also I also wonder if anyone knows the actual number of seats won by Democrats there...Last I heard it was 7 or 8 with a few still outstanding but that was again about a week ago...And what is the actual breakdown of Dem seats vs Rep seats for the new Congress?
Turning to Ohio, I have been waiting to see a flood of provisional and absentee totals emerge..I was disappointed to see Obama's edge in Ohio only about 1.8% but thought that once those uncounted ballots would be released that his winning margin there would likely grow. Right after the election I had read that Husted was in court trying to overturn a decision to limit his throwing out of provisional ballots he deemed not completed correctly and that at some point he had to show why these ballots should not all be counted. I wondered if anyone knew if that was decided yet..and if the bulk of these absentees would be released any time soon. I had seen on Wasserman that a few days ago results from about 24 voting districts came out but they were mostly in Republican areas.
Any help on any of these concerns would be greatly appreciated!
