Oregon is a vote by mail state, and judging from the group I saw at the County Elections office today - a lot of people didn't get their ballots.
BUT - they are working cheerfully and quickly to make sure your vote counts.
Not only did they put me into the system properly (living on a boat and not being able to get mail there makes voting actually complicated in a mail ballot system) - CCA (where I get my mail) sometimes returns ballots to the Elections office as undeliverable despite being a mail drop for people who are homeless or alternately housed like myself. It's all too easy to allow yourself to be disenfranchised - and I kind of have a problem with that.
In addition, once I had completed my ballot, one of the ladies took my photo for the DFTVA Nerdfighteria voting wall! How cool is that!
So if you have issues with your ballot, be patient, be friendly and above all - be persistent.
I may be crazypants, but I can still vote my crazypants interests. It's the American way. PLEASE get out and vote.
