Sorry for the shortish diary, but I'm typing this on my IPhone. My thumbs don't seem to work as well on this tiny keypad.
I check in on the William Hill website on occasion to see what the current odds are for the Presidential election just to feel better. William Hill is the premier oddsmaker for the British people. When he posts odds, I can trust them.
Why British? One reason is Las Vegas doesn't post odds for a Presidential election. The other reason is Brits will bet on anything. If you are an oddsmaker in England, you better know what you are doing. If the odds are wrong, an oddsmaker will lose his shirt.
So right now, Obama's odds are 5-1. That means for every $5 wagered, the payoff would be $1. Romney's odds are 2-7. That would get you $3.50 for every dollar bet. I like these odds.
So take heart. Those folks across the pond know what they are doing.
