"Democrats are practicing the politics of self-denial" says William Wilberforce Lumburgh, an Oklahoma State Senator and President of Concerned Republicans Against Progressive Policy Initiatives or CRAPPI. "Look, they're in denial about the fact that they won big in this last election. They're in denial about the fact that they're driving this bus. They are denying their self-interest, and that of their constituents when it comes to negotiations with the House GOP leadership".
When asked about the GOP, Lumburgh said "the GOP is practicing the politics of self-abuse".
CRAPPI emerged as a powerful force in Oklahoma politics when it joined forces with Traditional Republicans Advocating for the Nation's Normal Youth (TRANNY) in promulgating a bill which would make it illegal for transgendered persons to use ANY public restroom. It passed the legislature 56-0. While generally advocating against LGBT, women's, minority and animal rights, CRAPPI has recently begun weighing in on the nation's debt crisis.
"The debt crisis is important to Oklahoma. As one of the states that receives more federal money than it contributes to the federal government, we are very concerned about preventing cuts, especially spending which directly effects the citizens of Oklahoma". When asked if he found this an odd position to take for a state's rights Republican, Lumburgh answered "Of course not. Just because we want the Federal Government off our backs does not mean we want to stop getting Federal money. Who doesn't want something for nothing?".
Lumburgh is fairly convinced that Speaker Boehner's days as Speaker are numbered, even if he is re-elected Speaker in January. "I'd tell Speaker Boenher this: 'What I need you to do is to move your desk downstairs to the basement. And we'll need you to leave your stapler' ".
Speaker Boehner could not be reached for comment.
