This morning on Meet the Press and ABC Rick Santorum talked about how it was a failure of leadership for Obama to apologize for the burning of the Quran in Afghanistan. The reason was that it was not a deliberate act, therefore no apologies needed. He then said that we should have said it was a mistake, didn't know why it was done, but that was where it would stop. Isn't explaining what happened and why it was wrong all but using the word "apology"? Rick really must be a difficult guy to live with as a father, huh?
And what would have happened if the Taliban, or other group in a foreign country would have had a Bible burning ceremony or protest? What would Santorum's response be to that? Would he have asked for an apology? I most certainly think he would. He would have made a major media event about it, demanded that Obama ask for an apology.
That's the problem with guys like Santorum. They will say anything, do anything to show they are tough and disciplined. But they are in the end, nothing but phony prophets.
