In the rapid fire news cycle of the 10s, that long-ago phenomenon of the life-time subscription drive is a tiny speck in the rear view mirror. That subscription drive that exceeded the wildest aspirations of Kos. Remember that one?
But for me, this week, it shone its headlights full on.
Some technical difficulties prevented my lifetime subscription from clicking into place, or whatever it's called.
The deadline had passed by several days, when I received a note from Nurse Kelley that I was indeed the recipient of some (or several) anonymous Kossack's largess, and would be receiving a lifetime subscription
Some weeks went by, and in Kelley's inimitable nudging style (I wish I could patent that!) the technological stars aligned, and a couple days ago, the ads disappeared, the background glowed white, and my navigation through the site (with my 7 year old computer) became significantly easier.
So, to Kos for initiating the drive, Nurse Kelley for her nudging, all the generous kossacks who ran diaries soliciting contributions for others, and those who donated so others could receive subscriptions, thank you for the lovely, glaring white staring back at me from my screen.
