Spare me the "NOT A REAL DIARY" stuff.
CBS interviewed a top guy (I'll update if they give a repeat) at Politico who had a set piece ready that made Breitbart out to be a crusader for the truth, made it seem like taking down ACORN was a good and noble deed and vaguely referred so some case pending against him (his vicious lies about Shirley Sherrod apparently so shameful they couldn't spin it and still mention her name).
I had been warming up to CBS. It was starting to look like they actually might be doing some original reporting again.
I was wrong. I won't watch CBS after this obvious whitewash of the lowest of the very low right-wing scum. I'll make sure to remove the channel for sweeps, in May.
Update: I saw the above-mentioned interview with the Polito guy on the 1/2 hour "Up to the Minute" show that repeats locally from 3:00a.m. to 5:00a.m. and then from 6:00a.m. to 7:00a.m.
It is extremely rare for this show to do anything but a straight repeat.
I've been waiting for the repeat of of the piece with the Polico interview. Instead, they straight-up reported Breitbart's death, said an autopsy was pending and described him as a "political blogger'. Someone's on their toes at CBS!
