PROFLOWERS by their silence is PRORUSH.
Period. No excuse. No way to talk themselves out of this.
Do you want to send Easter flowers from a company that cannot make up its mind about its opinion of the filth that is coming out of Rush Limbaugh's mouth like an unending stream of diarreah? Do they really believe that that is the proper way to talk to women? Is that the attitude they have about women? Do you want to support their tacit acceptance through their silence of this war against women.
I do not and will not. I AM DONE WITH THEM. There are other flower businesses out there. Do not place or receive Easter orders from them, or any other orders.
If by mistake I receive any deliveries of flowers from them, I will refuse the delivery. And make no mistake, I will never order from them again. I have a long memory and I mean, NEVER. They are taking the cowards way out, parsing every reaction.
The time for them to have saved their corporate integrity and brand has come and gone. This is the latest statement I could find from them:
A statement posted on ProFlowers' Facebook page late Thursday night was more circumspect. It read, "We would like to assure you that we do not endorse the views expressed by Rush Limbaugh. We understand your concerns and value your feedback." The post was inundated with hundreds of comments from Facebook users urging the company to drop its advertising.
So. Time for OCCUPY PROFLOWERS. Time for Hardball.

Rush Limbaugh has gone over the edge, in my opinion. Why, I don't know.
However, this is the time where the rubber meets the road. This is the time where companies are forced to choose whether they support his filth or not. There is no more time for playing both sides against the middle.
I believe that we have come into the "AGE of OCCUPY". In brief, what that means to me is that the public (the 99%) is simply not willing to take IT anymore. And we will let our thoughts and feelings be known. We will act.
Silence becomes a very powerful accomplice of evil. And when companies are silent about the denigration of women there is no other conclusion to draw than that they condone the evil that this man represents.
This idea of silence becoming a silent partner to evil, obviously is not original to me:
Generations of leaders and thinkers have come to that same conclusion and taught about the dangers of silence in the face of evil:
A Sampling of opinions about Silence=Complicity/Condoning:
Thomas More and the law:
Qui tacet consentire videtur, ubi loqui debuit ac potuit (Thus, silence gives consent; he ought to have spoken when he was able to).
"The maxim is "Qui tacet consentire": the maxim of the law is "Silence gives consent". If therefore you wish to construe what my silence betokened, you must construe that I consented."
—Thomas More in A Man For All Seasons[1]
Here's MLK:
“In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
and MLK again:
"We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people."
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."
and then the famous quote:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
Martin Niemoller
So, let us, at least not be silent.
