SCAM Act is an acronym for "Sudden-faux Concern for Alien Minors"
Or maybe: or Shallow Concern ... or SHAM Concern.
The primary concern for immigrants is a pathway to Citizenship for children whose parents brought them to America at an early age without legal documentation - and Rubio opposes that idea.
Alien minors who came to America as infants, and even teens, love and are as loyal to America as much as Cuban children who came here in their youth. Difference is, Cuban immigrants get Amnesty the moment they touch US soil. Immigrants from most other countries do not get Amnesty just for touching US soil. As a result of Rubio's parents getting Amnesty for touching US soil, Marco Rubio has enjoyed all the benefited from: social, state, local and federal programs/projects that all other Americans enjoy.
Rubio supports Arizona's SB1070 "Papers Please" Law - which is surprising since Rubio probably would not have wanted to have been asked for his "papers" at every bend and turn of his life.
Mitt Romney also supports SB1070. In fact, Mitt said he thinks "SB1070 should be the model for national immigration." That is not a surprise since one of Mitt's Political Advisers, Kris Kobach, wrote SB 1070 for Arizona.
Rubio also supports Jim DeMint's Federal English "Only" Law.
The Tea Party loves Marco Rubio specifically for his Immigration views, or rather for Rubio's Anti-Immigration views. The Tea Party especially loves that Rubio is against Amnesty and against the DREAM Act which provides a path for citizenship.
Two weeks ago, Rubio said he is against the DREAM Act because it would give rise to "Chain Migration." Hmm .... Rubio's family came to the United States as a result of "Chain Migration."
Rubio is against the very policies that his family enjoyed and is for the very policies that would have prevented his family from coming to the United States. What would Rubio be now if Cubans were not given Amnesty the moment they touch US soil. ahhhhh .... the hypocrisy and entitlement of Rubio is truly amazing.
Rubio's SCAM Act immigration plan is "evolving" - hmmm ... interesting ... I suppose after 40 years of being a member of an immigrant family in America plus living in Florida and Nevada where immigrant population is huge, was not the proper environment for Marco Rubio to have already formed a stanch Immigration Policy opinion --- so his immigration ideas are "evolving."
The only thing we know about Rubio's evolving SCAM Act is there will be no pathway to Citizenship and alien minors might get Non-Immigrant Visa. Current Non-Immigrant Visas allow the holder to stay in America for a "temporary, short period of time."
I think that last part needs to be repeated for emphasis: A Non-Immigrant Visa allows the holder to stay in America for a "temporary, short period of time."
Since Hispanic voters were insulted, humiliated and used as punching bags by Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain and the other GOP Candidates for President -- GOP fear they will lose Hispanic voters that they need in a General election.
Mitt Romney recently said, "We have to get Hispanic voters to vote for our party" Interesting way of wording it. Why not, "hey, Hispanic children love America just as much as Cuban children - lets give them the same Amnesty." Nope.
So, in a not-so-surprising con artist tactic, the GOP look to Cuban Marco Rubio to toss Hispanic voters a bone ... a bone with no meat, no flavor, and lots of splinters .... but hey, it's a bone.
I can see the RNC Ads Now:
Vote For Mitt - he supports Marco Rubio's SCAM Act on immigration where you can stay here "temporarily" under your Non-Immigrant Visa after which you can indulge in Mitt's "Self-Deportation Immigration Plan."
Self-Deportation has been Mitt Romney's immigration stance since at least January of this year:
"The answer is self-deportation, which is people decide they can do better by going home because they can't find work here because they don't have legal documentation to allow them to work here,"
~ Mitt Romney January 24, 2012.
"The answer" ... "THE answer" .. "is self-deportation." I hope all Hispanic's who learn of Rubio's SCAM Act remember Mitt's words.
Either the GOP think Hispanics are so dumb that they'll fall for Rubio's SCAM Act or the GOP in charge are dumb.
This is the end of my Diary, so I added this definition of "Chain Migration" here in case anyone was unfamiliar with the term. Chain Migration is where immigrants of the same town, or Cuba, migrate to a new town or country to be close to their friends of family. Rubio's parents came to America after his father's sister-in-law was already here.
