During the heated debates over federal student loans, Rep. Todd Akin (R, MO) likened the program to the “stage three cancer of socialism…” Holy crap! As if the stat that one in two new college grads are either unemployed or underemployed wasn’t grim enough! Congressman Aiken, we know you’re trying to secure that GOP nomination, but aren’t you being a bit harsh? Maybe when you’re craving the youth vote you’ll realize that it’s not good to tell students they’re responsible for the slow and agonizing death of America.
Sen. Dean Heller (R, NV) feels strongly that trading oil futures are the cause of unpredictable oil prices and the unstable economy. So why is he voting against measures that would crack down on it? Because he’s a dick, that’s why. Since it’s an election year, the Nevada Republican is making nice with the public while hoping that they aren’t paying attention to his votes. But the DSCC isn’t letting Heller off the hook so easily. "Heller's votes allowing Wall Street to artificially raise prices at the pump is just the latest reminder that Heller prioritizes powerful special interests that fund his campaign instead of middle-class Nevadans.”
Who's the bigger dick?
