Yesterday, after more than a year of hard work, I sent the full draft of my dissertation to my committee chair. It's not a first draft... somewhere between a third and fourth draft, I'd say. The data analyses are third-drafty; everything else in it is fourth-drafty.
This is why I haven't been around much on Kos for the last year or so. I've been somewhat buried up to my eyeballs in data analysis and writing, especially in the last four or five months.
I've also been doing some fairly extensive rewriting, so that there won't be a long delay with revisions from my committee, so that I'll be able to defend and file sometime before the end of the term.
Within a few more months at most, I'll be Dr. KoSC. It's only taken me ten years to get from no degree at all to so many letters after my name that I could make alphabet soup. But I wanted y'all to know, because many of you have been part of what's happened with this work I've been doing, and I wanted to thank you all for having my back.
... Yeah, I guess that's all I had to say.
