Every once in a while, someone want to applaud comes up. This time it is Molly Munger, the daughter of Charlie Munger. Warren Buffet has often refered to Mr. Munger as his partner. Thus, it is rather strange that this rich man's girl is worthy of high praise - but it is true. Molly Munger fights for the education of our youth, so much so, she petitioned (successfully) for her dad to let her go to public school, instead of private.
Molly Munger is taking on big interests and our very own Governor (Jerry Brown) here in California. She is spending millions of dollars of her own personal money to put a tax code change on the California Ballout and Jerry Brown wants her to Back Off. But Molly has been a prosecutor, a woman who became a partner of 2 male dominated law firms and an advocate for children's rights & education always. She and Connie Rice were awarded the Martin Luther King Human Dignity Award for their excellence.

Molly Munger's vs California Governor Jerry Brown
Today, Molly Munger was on the news this morning. She is openly stating that Governor
Jerry Brown's purported merger of his tax increase initiative with "
Millionaire's" Tax of 2012; are woefully inadequate and have hidden back door money issues.
Being that I am obviously for Molly Munger, I will give you this slightly biased YouTube video by the Public Policy Institute of California (the "PPIC");
Obfuscating the issues with an apple to oranges compare
Margaret Weston is spokesperson for PPIC and gives us a graph on the numbers of who are students in California public schools. She remarks that there are 2 issues out there public stating the fact that California schools are under funded.
Then Margaret points out that Molly Munger's proposal equals $10 billion in new funding for the kids. With her final note, a very detailed - pro Jerry Brown - commentary; as Margaret sort of twists the facts in an apples to orange compare that Jerry Brown's proposal means $5000 more for certain disadvantaged students.
Finally, PPIC spokesperson Margaret Weston stipulates the one good thing. That this battle of initiatives is bringing attention to the fact that California schools are under funded.
Dang right they are. Molly Munger notes that CA is 47th in the country.
Molly Munger's: Our Children Our Future - Tax Initiative
Unfortunately, good faith always finds a multitude of bad enemies and this time there is no exception to that. The dogma of pro Jerry Brown partisans is attacking Molly Munger and making it sound as if she is egotistical. They warn her it is going to get brutal and accuse her of putting the children she purportedly fights for - at risk.
G-d Bless Molly Munger for turning around and donating $3.4 million to her Cause.
Molly does not have her own Wikipedia page like her father. Thus we turn to other articles for her history. Huffington Post points out in "Molly Munger, California Tax Proponent -- ". The HuffPo story points out that the Rodney King affair was a life changer for Molly;
She [Molly Munger] immersed herself in the civil rights movement of the 1960s and went on to graduate from Harvard Law School. Munger said her passion was reawakened when riots erupted in Los Angeles in 1992 after the acquittal of white police officers charged in the beating of black motorist Rodney King, sparking a national debate about racial equality.
But, that appears to be all for naught. Especially when the veteran politico - Governor Jerry Brown - and his veiled agendas comes into play. After all, Molly is a 1%, no matter how many good works she has done. As the internet/ web has brought us all closer - yet farther - from each other. Familiarity breeds contempt greatly. Molly Munger is being assaulted by the very people who used to support her. Democrats attack the hard way, as HuffPo points out;
Democratic state Sen. Ted Lieu of Torrance has used his Twitter account to question her motives, including a recent post that said Munger's new television ad campaign "shows this is about her ego."
In an interview last week with The Associated Press, Munger said she has been surprised by the reaction from Democrats.
"You sort of hope that the Democrats are the party that stand up for investment in children and in education. Those are two bedrock principles of the Democratic Party," she said.
CONCLUSION
On the news this morning, Molly Munger has pointed out that Governor Jerry Brown's tax increase takes money into schools but there is a withdrawal of funding from other measures when that transpires. This is standard politics, like naming an initiative the Millionaire's Tax and then sticking it to us average citizens. It really pisses me off, how lifetime politicians seem to think this crap is okay.
Molly points out that Governor Brown's Polls saying she will fail and is harming children, is making statements not accurate. She says that the obfuscating issues include how Gov. Brown's initiative takes money to schools, but then back doors taking money away for the prisons.
Here is a Sacramento Bee article (whom I respect more than most main stream media) with a video that I can't embed. It shows that Molly Munger stands tall to media bird dogging.

We applaud you Molly Munger - for standing tall - being a fighter
and a darn good person!
