That's him, on the right.
In that picture he was about fourteen years old (he is 17 now), and you see him floating down the river Dordogne hanging grimly onto a canoe paddled by me :)
I wrote about Joe in an earlier Diary, and as time has progressed he has simply grown in confidence, and his guitar playing is awesome. In December Joe will be visiting family friends in Durban, South Africa where he will be spending time with faculty and students from the University Music Department.
Meanwhile, Joe's Facebook activities continue un-abated. I don't prompt him or do anything other than give him credit for whatever he does well. I have to give him lots of credit.
The picture below is probably very common,it has lots of "likes", yet the first time I saw it was about thirty minutes ago on the Facebook Wall of my son ....
.... and dammit I was going to share!
I know that Dads are supposed to be proud of their kids, and I am.
But today he gets extra credit :)
The English boy seems to be developing an acute "international" interest.
