Sample text:
Dear Representative:
Many child abuse victims, supporters and all who care about children are asking you to consider and support HB 878 and HB 832 without amendments, which would address our outdated statute of limitations laws. Despite the outrage over the Sandusky trial and the Philadelphia Archdiocese proceedings, these bills are stuck in your committee. Attached please find a recent editorial from the Harrisburg Patriot News that makes a strong case for immediate action.
These bills may be considered iby your committee as early as Wednesday, June 20.
Now is your chance to stand up for children - and not for those who continue to protect special interests. Make no mistake: this procedural vote will clearly define who is on the side of victims and who continues to protect predators. We are asking for your leadership on this critical issue and we will take note of this critical vote.
Please vote to move HB 878 and HB 832 forward.
Pennsylvania's children can't wait for task forces. They can't wait one more day!
