Hello there everyone. Normally I would never post a diary like this in a million years, but I've asked family members and friends if they could take a cat, but alas no luck there. I also posted an ad on craigslist and looked into cat sanctuaries. No luck with craigslist and cat sanctuaries actually charge thousands of dollars which I didn't realize. I would like to avoid giving her to a shelter if at all possible. I would love to keep her but unfortunately I am moving to a new location due to circumstances and alas I am unable to keep her.
In any case, "Scamp" is a spayed female, gray and white. She is about 11 years old and extremely friendly. I have never met a cat that loved people more than this one. She is super cuddly. The one thing about her that you need to know is that she has diabetes. She has one of the more mild cases. I give her insulin shots twice a day. It's actually very easy. She doesn't object to the shots at all; in fact she licks my arm while I do it, it's hilarious. Also, she is up to date on her basic shots. She has been an indoor cat for me, but when I first got her ten years ago she was an outdoor cat.
I live in Glendale, Calfornia, but am willing to drive a great distance if need be to rehome her. In fact, I leave on a giant road trip to go back to the midwest on June 15th. I am willing to supply anyone who takes her with a six month supply of insulin and food for her.
Here is a picture of her:
