Remember how this election is all about the economy and jobs? And how Republicans have a laser-like focus on those two things? Yeah,
right.
House Republicans are moving forward with plans for a new attempt to repeal President Barack Obama's health care law.
The House Rules Committee announced Thursday that it will meet at 5 p.m. Monday to discuss the "Repeal of Obamacare Act" — the GOP's response to the Supreme Court ruling that upheld the law.
Their
rhetoric about wasting yet more time on political posturing that will just be ignored by the Senate will at least be all about the economy. In fact Majority Leader Eric Cantor
says the repeal votes are to "stop the tax hike on working families and remove the red tape burdening small businesses to reduce uncertainty."
See? It's all about our job-creatin' small businesses. Never mind that what's causing uncertainty is the inability of Republicans to just accept defeat and move on.
