Itâs been a while since I have checked up on what the recently baptized neo-conservative filmmaker Eric Allen Bell has been up to, so I was "pleasantly" surprised when I discovered that he has created yet another visual media website, called Global Infidel TV. Much like how Judeophobes proudly refer to themselves as "Goys" or "Gentiles" to imply that that is how Jews view them, Islamophobes intentionally call themselves "Infidels" (with a capital I, of course) to say, "this is what those evil Mohammedans think about us!" That is why there are websites and organizations such as "Infidels Alliance", "Infidels Are Cool" (blogspot), and now "Global Infidel TV." Just simply replace the word, "Infidel" with "Goy" or "Gentile", and one can easily see the parallels between Islamophobia and Judeophobia.
Bell's "new" website uses practically the same format of his main media page, except this one discards the pseudo-spirituality and exclusively focuses on his Islamophobic views. One of the first things one reads on the page is,
Information is the Enemy of Islamic Supremacy: Spread it!
And,
Islam means "submission". Liberty means "you own you". Islam and Liberty cannot coexist.
Despite this libertarian approach to spirituality, whenever singing the praises of his idol Robert Spencer, and his god, David Horowitz; Bell feels "compelled to defend Christianity" and its doctrines. But did not Jesus Christ also say, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven"? That sounds a lot like "submission." And if Bell is such a spiritual libertarian, then why does he post numerous videos of far-right Christian extremists who advocate all types of "crazy supernatural" beliefs that he so abhors in Islam? Is it possible that Eric will just pander to whoever will give him funding for his projects? After all, Islamophobia is a big money-making industry at the moment. Never modest and always an inflated ego, Bell refers to his site as;
Counter Jihad's Ultimate Global Media Resource. Non-Partisan. Exposing the Human Rights Abuses in Islam. We do not promote violence or hate!
Nice disclaimer; the old, "I'm going to hurl a million insults upon you, then say that I'm not a bigot and this was all done out of love" trick.
Then right below a video of the fraud Walid Shoebat (who is a radical, literal-minded Christian), Bell quotes an alleged comment attributed to President John Quincy Adams;
The law which their prophet Mohamed has given to muslims, is that any harm done to any one who does not accept Islamic Law, is no sin at all.
Not surprisingly, the top three results of a Google search for this comment (without quotation marks) are an article from the evangelical Christian Islamophobic website,
IslamReview, a YouTube video titled "Muslim Child-Rape Gangs in Britain", and an article titled "The Alien Concept of Free Speech - Islamic Scriptures Unveiled." A Google search with the quotation marks only brings up Bell's
Global Infidel TV. "Ayesha Ahmed" in her screed for
IslamReview, also quotes another probable fabricated comment, this time attributed to the explorer Marco Polo;
The militant Muslim is the person cutting the head of the infidel while the moderate Muslim holds the victims feet
Since the term, "moderate Muslim" is relatively new and highly tinged with neo-conservative politics; I'm making an educated guess that it is a fake. These are Eric Allen Bellâs "non-partisan" sources.
In a blogpost titled, "MYSTERIOUS MONEY AND MOTIVE BEHIND MONSTER MOSQUE IN MURFREESBORO" (all caps, of course), Bell writes;
Let's start with a little math. Murfreesboro, TN has just over 100,000 residents. According to estimates provided by the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, there are 200 to 300 Muslim families living in the area. When they announced their plans to build a 53,000 square foot mega mosque, a lot of questions came up. One subject of concern was why they needed such a huge compound for so few families. What is particularly disconcerting is that, according to their own documents (attached 2009 annual report) the ICM only has 45 active paying member families. Naturally this begs another question â who is paying for this massive compound?
But wait a minute. I thought this was "Amurrica!" where it's not about what people "need", but what people want and work hard for! Bell sounds like a Socialist, and we all know that that's just one step away from being a Mohammedan terrorist! Bell then goes into some platitudes about how Mein Kampf is less anti-Semitic than the Medina portion of the Qur'an, that "80%" of the Qur'an is about "fighting the infidel", and that Islam isn't "really" a religion, but a totalitarian political ideology with a few religious elements. And the "who's paying for this evil thing?!" argument is uttered by every bigot of every people. I for one don't know "who is paying for it", but I'm pretty sure the authorities would have known by now if it was some "evil Islamic takeover" plan. Then the simple âinformation spreaderâ thinly implies that Islam should be outlawed as a religion in the United States!
And the glaring fact that the Islamic scripture is a hate manifesto with a blueprint for worldwide domination of the infidel, well, who wants to confront the elephant in the room and be labeled "intolerant"? That said, until someone successfully challenges this in court, Islam has been deemed a religion in the United States, and when that premise is questioned in a court of law, Eric Holder sends officials from the Department of Justice to intervene on behalf of Islam. (emphasis added)
Knowing full well that the Bible is contains much more "holy violence" than the Qurâan, Bell features a graph stating the "Islamic Trilogy" (Qur'an, Hadith, and Sirah) has more references to "political violence" than the Hebrew Bible. Well, of course! The "Sahih Bukhari" collection of Hadith is nine full volumes alone, while the "Sahih Muslim" collection is six volumes. The Sirah (biography of Muhammad) has been written by more than just one person, so that makes it more than a "trilogy." Counting the Qur'an, that is more than seventeen full books; which are much larger than the "books of the Bible" which really amount to chapters in the modern sense.
Notwithstanding the complexity of Hadith literature which does not yield universal agreement among Muslims, even if we were to entertain Eric's delusion that Islam is uniquely violent among the world's religions; we should only compare the Qur'an to the Bible, not the Qur'an, plus all of the Hadith literature, plus all of the classical biographies of Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq or al-Tabari. That is reverse ganging-up. And as many writers and scholars have so remarkably demonstrated, the Bible "wins" out over the Qur'an in terms of "political violence", hands down. Eric knows this, which is why he has to take every book ever written by a Muslim in history and compare it to the Bible, to make his point.
Later in the article, Bell then claims that Muhammad himself would have endorsed the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001;
One might argue that September 11, 2001 - Osama Bin Laden must have been wearing his "What Would Mohammed Do?" bracelet that day, since clearly if the "prophet" were alive on that day, he most certainly would have sanctioned the attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. Anyone who takes the time to study what Muslims are taught about Mohammed will realize that this man was a blood thirsty tyrant and not a man of peace. Were he alive today, Al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah would make him proud.
And if devout Muslims are supposed to emulate Muhammad, that must make them "what" in Bell's eyes??
